Oh, well, that makes perfect sense.

Currently I work a second job doing phone support for a large company whose majority of users are home based and use VPN. A user recently called and was having problems with VPN connecting. After again getting the specific error she received before, I determined that the problem was her Internet connection. I asked her “Is your Internet connected via cable modem or DSL?” Her response “Neither, I have ethernet. We have it in every room of our house.”

I explained to her that yes her house may be wired with ethernet, but she had to have an ISP, and again asked her who she paid every month for internet access. He response “We use to pay our cable company at our old house but this house came with the ethernet so we canceled the service.”
