  1. Yeah, you can see that no part of the cord actually goes around the grill bars. It’s just pushed in there to look like it does.

  2. Zoom in on it. The top part does indeed go inside the grille. It’s simple folks. The front of those HP small form factor PCs snaps off pretty easily. The user simply snapped it off, wrapped the cord as shown, then snapped it back on. No trickery or Time Lord technology.

  3. Ok yeah… so I just followed the whole cord. There is NO place that it wraps around the grill. People saying otherwise are just being dumb. Here I’ll explain, we’ll call the top section 4, the next section down 3, the next down 2, and the bottom one 1, and the one to the side up top we’ll call 4-b and the one right next to 2, we’ll call 2-a…. Now following the cord from the mouse… It goes up to 2 loops down under what will be the second part of 2, and goes down to 1 looping under the second part of 1, loops up into 2-a comes out to form the second part of 2 which loops up to 3 and loops over what will be the connection of 4 and the second part of 3, goes up to 4, loops back down, loops under the first part of 3, then goes over and loops in 4-b. There are NO knots (at least not that are pulled tight) and there is nothing wrapping around the grill bars. And there are no cuts…. What is REALLY confusing about this though… is why the hell anyone would want to make their mouse cord shorter like that. : (I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s a cute parlor trick to make people think that it’s stuck like that… But then you’d have to do it over and over again to fool new people all the time. Or I suppose you could just take a picture and post it online.) In all reality, if I were there and someone showed me that, I’d have just pulled all the wires loose and said ‘There I fixed it.’

Anywho this comment wins and you all know it.

    • i used to have one of these computers at college lab, just shove the mouse cord into the grill a few times like you said and it looks just like this. no “looping” around like everyone claims.

  4. Easy enough to fix. 1. Unplug all cables from PC. 2. Firmly grasp PC in hands 3. Lift PC above head. 4. Thrust PC in a downward motion. 5. Release mid downward motion 6. 🙂

  5. it’s easier than most of you think, just open the mouse and unplug the inner connector, which is quite small, then just open the computer so you can mess with that grill pretty easy
