…to go along with your paper jam…

I used to work in Tech Support for SanDisk, on their USB flash drives, MP3 players, etc… I over heard a call that makes me laugh to this day.

A user calls in because the memory card does not work in their camera. The tech who took the call handled it very professionally. First he checked the for error codes given by the camera; there were none. He tried the memory card in a card reader to which the computer did not detect the card or return an error. He verified the card was a valid legitimate product and not a counterfeit.

The tech then thought perhaps the card was physically damaged, but the user reported no signs of damage. Now here it comes. After about 30 minutes into this conversation the tech asks the user to look at the metal contact pins on the memory card to see if maybe the pins were corroded or were scratched…..to which the user replies, “The card has no pins…no…wait…let me lick off the peanut butter…”

So now we have verified that he had peanut butter on his memory card, both his camera and card reader are toasted because they now have peanut butter in the ports, the guy just LICKED HIS MEMORY CARD, and without missing a beat the tech support agent replies, “That’s your problem sir, our products are only compatible with JELLY.”
