We sent two techs to a new remote office location to install the phone system/networking gear. When they were trying to hang the rack on the wall in the closet, the stud finder just kept going crazy.
So they drilled anyways. Was a nice first impression with the new neighbors in the next suite over.

A coworker of mine has taught night classes for wannabe electrical contractors for about 30 years. This photo is now part of his course material.
I used to work for a small company of around 30 users. The manager decided our small office needed more storage space. Where better to install shelving for extra storage than the room that housed our servers!? The owner hired his brother to do the work over a holiday weekend (New Years if I recall correctly). I get a call Saturday night that all power has been lost in our computer room. Why? Because the guy hanging the shelves drilled right through the main power feed in the wall. A few days later an electrician was in to fix the damage. We found the inside of the wall to be all charred when he went repair the issue. I am still surprised that the building had not burnt down.
