Never Overestimate the User

I just wrapped up helping a seemingly tech savvy user put the finishing touches on his new PC installation. All seemed to go as planned; his printer installed right, his data restored from his backup, and the programs he used for business worked fine. So just when I thought I had done a good deed and felt like I had helped someone with their technological needs who was going to make a positive impact on the world he asked me, “Hey um, I just got the new Call of Duty game for the Wii, I think I know the answer, but can I play that on the new PC?”

I should have told him yes.
