Sadly, I have seen something very similar to this. Usually the result of wrapping the power cable around the laptop instead of unplugging it before stowing.
I’ve repaired dozens of laptops in similar shape. The one that still sticks out most is from a couple of years ago. I soldered on a replacement piece on the board and replaced the universal charger with a factory replacement only to have it brought back a couple days later with the plug tore out again. The second time it wasn’t repairable, instead of breaking the plug or knocking the solder joint loose it ripped a section of the board completely off.
