Literal interpretation is literal

A couple of years back I had a customer come in and explain some problems she was having with her computer. Figuring it was in her car I asked her if she could bring it in so I could look at it. She said that it was still at her house. I then said “If you bring in the box I’ll take a look”. So she left. When she came back in she placed the box for her PC on the floor I walked over and opened the box. I was expecting to see a PC, but the box was empty. I couldn’t control my laughter. In fact the rest of the guys in the shop all came out and they started laughing about it too.
