“I work at a university tech support desk (ran by students.) One afternoon, this girl and her posse come up to the desk, saying that her iPhone wont connect to her computer. I say ok and ask her to bring it out. She brings out this …tragedy. She told me that she microwaved her brand new iPhone 5, because one of her friends told her it would charge the phone in a matter of thirty seconds.”
Good god. This person will likely be my boss some day. – Rob

The big question did it work. JK lol. I worked at Motorola and some one tried this after the phone got wet, not a good after effect.
I would tell anyone to micorwave their iphone
People that dumb don’t deserve nice things, or even an iPhone5
ROFL!
I’m just not willing to belive that happened, a fire came out the side and the internals, battery, and screen still work enough to bring up a charge screen.
yeah…try it….its true.
My mistake, the connect to itunes screen..
reminds me of back when my dad put the keyboard in the (turned on) oven to dry it faster >_< he had spilled a drink on it, and took it apart, washed it in the kitchen sink, and put it in the oven to dry it (after he decided that a hair dryer wasn't drying it fast enough)… the scariest part? when I witnessed him doing it, that was actually the SECOND time he did it – miraculously it still worked after the first time, so I didn't hear about it until the second time when it… well… didn't exactly work out as he planned….
I had a friend who routinely put his (wired) keyboards through the dishwasher. Seemed to work just fine.
On the other hand… it still starts =) did she check how much battery did it have? Perhaps it worked!
