Add USB Ports Instantly [story]

I get onsite and they tell me, “I can’t get my flash drive to work. So we tried other ones too. So it definitely ain’t the drives. It worked fine before you were out here last time.”

That line always gets me. “It worked fine before you were here last.”

I turned the computer around spotted the problem immediately.

That computer only has 2 USB ports and I used that to hook up the mouse to free up a port for his flash drive. I tried to use a hub but he insisted that every computer he used with a USB hub, it caused problems. So I went this route instead of arguing. Someone decided that the mouse worked better the other way and this was the result. Of course no one knows who actually did it.

This is probably completely stupid but I don’t get it? So the USB stick is connected to the PS/2 adapter and mouse and keyboard are connected on the 2 usb drives on the right? What’s the problem? :/ sorry if I’m missing the obvious!

  PS/2 is just for input devices such as mice and keyboards. It doesn’t support storage devices.
