This post aims to raise awareness of the impending legislation surrounding SOPA and PIPA. This bill could seriously alter the way you use the Internet today – especially with regards to sites like FailDesk, our big brother Geeks Are Sexy and many, many others that rely upon sources from the rest of the Internet for news and other material.

As you may be aware, today many sites including Wikipedia, Reddit, Boing Boing and many others…even Google is in on the act (kinda).

Be aware, SOPA won’t just affect humor/satire sites – but it will impact mainstream social media sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and innumerable 2nd-tier social and niche news sites. If this bill goes through, the Internet will look nothing like it does today.
