That reminds me of an end user of mine who summoned me because she was having projector problems. She wanted to mask part of the projector display so that the attendees wouldn’t see her entire desktop, and wondered why, when she held a sheet of paper over her laptop display, it wasn’t masking what the projector was projecting onto the screen.
To her credit at least, as I was standing there grasping for the most tactful words to explain where her logic was failing, she suddenly realized and turned bright red, apologized for being stupid, and laughed at herself. If only all end users were like that!
