I hate that. I had a tech supporter today attempt this very thing, blaming it all on user error, ignoring the fact that there is not a lot you can do WRONG with DHCP (client-side that is) and insisting to go through with his spiel instead of just factory-resetting the router and removing whatever is FUBARed in the configs.
